Tracker Dan
Tracker Dan has been a wilderness survival and tracking instructor since 1995 and a Navy SEAL since 2002. His love for community, coupled with a passion for sharing his experience, enables and inspires his students to work together for a hopeful future.
At a young age Dan moved up to the unforgiving environment of British Columbia. By the age of 7, he was already designing and testing his own survival gear. His primitive upbringing provided him instant feedback and an education where there was no room for error.
Dan spent years as a NSW Operator with SEAL Team 8 and is currently serving in the SEAL Active Reserves. He has trained fellow Frogmen in the Middle East, South America and The Great White North. He is a current NSW subject matter expert on Survival, Escape & Evasion and Tracking.
Prior to joining The Navy, Dan spent 6 years as an instructor at the Tom Brown School of Tracking and Survival in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. There, he learned first-hand the many insights passed down from "Grandfather" to his teacher Tom Brown and then cultivated those teachings for his own students.
